One Man Jam-The Song

I love this Instrumental alot. Very synth-oriented and sounds like its in outtake from Prince's very early work. Even tho Prince wrote and sang lead ONLY one song with Pepe's band and its "Just Another Sucker". Its sho is nice 2 hear that he played the keys in "One Man Jam". I don't know if he played that synth solo but that one is one WILD ASS solo nod now thats what I can call "Minnie Wood's Funk" wink

However, I neva heard Prince's version of "If You See Me"(later titled "Do Yourself A Favor").

Anyway,,does anybody dig One Man Jam?

It's ok, he played most of the synths and guitars on these recordings. They weren't originally intended to be as much in the forefront as they are, but when he hit it big, they brought up the track volumes of the stuff he did, and brought down the volumes of the other stuff.

When did they record this cut anyway? It doesn't sound like a mid-70's jam at all, it sounds like an early 80's joint. Good session work tho!

Nah, it was recorded in '77 or '78.

At least according to my 2-CD MPLS Genius set.
