Was it the official version from Goldnigga?
Edit: Probably not if it had part of the next song. I would do a search at www.guide2prince.org as I'm sure it wasn't played a lot live and it should be fairly easy to figure out when he played it back to back with Race. . [This message was edited Sat Jun 14 20:38:46 PDT 2003 by lovemachine]

I believe the version you have is the same as it is on Goldnigga CD. I don't think there were any other versions. "3 1 2 1"

There's an aftershow from 1993 called "This is My Night" in which Black MF in the House is played...Race is also on the boot although I can't remember offhand if it followed Black MF. It is possible that what you found was an MP3 of part of that performance.
Black MF in the House (studio version) was included on "Goldnigga" by the NPG with Tony M and Prince vocals. Check out The Mountains and the Sea, a Prince podcast by yours truly and my wife. More info at https://www.facebook.com/TMATSPodcast/

I did a quick search and it was performed live on at least 20 boots. I noticed that he performed it live with Race as the next song on a cd called Aftershow 1993. It was recorded in Paris on September 1, 1993. The same show is also on a cd called Paris Aftershow 1993 and that seems to be the better known version. Okay the best known version of this show is called "Live at the Rex". It must be a pretty good show if it has been reissued with that many names .
