Sheilas rap in It's gonna be a beautiful night...

Is there 2 disguise P singing 'Can't nobody fuck with us' over and over. Also the lyric in Adore has 2 be 'I ain't fuckin just 4 kicks' not 'they know this ain't just 4 kicks' and why doesn't the 1999 album have a parental advisory sticker?? Just a few questions guys.

I hate that rap.

Where did you hear this?

Parental advisory stickers weren't required until later.

It's definitely "I ain't fuckin' just for kicks."

Haven't you heard the story about how parental advisory stickers exist thanks to "Darling Nikki" (1984)?

Yeah but U can still buy the album in any store so surely new copies should carry the parental advisory thing? Mind U I bought Appetite for destruction the other day and that didn't have a sticker either...

There is no advisory sticker on 1999 because they were not required till later in the 80's.I don't think the rap was there for any particular reason. It's not really a rap,it's achildren's poem by Edward Lear. I've posted it below if anyone is interested.

The Table and the Chair
Edward Lear 1812-1888

Said the Table to the Chair,
'You can hardly be aware
How I suffer from the heat,
And from chilblains on my feet!
If we took a little walk,
We might have a little talk!
Pray let us take the air!'
Said the Table to the Chair.

Said the Chair unto the Table,
'Now you know we are not able!
How foolishly you talk,
When you know we cannot walk!'
Said the Table with a sigh,
'It can do no harm to try;
I've as many legs as you;
Why can't we walk on two?'
So they both went slowly down,
And walked about the town
With a cheerful bumpy sound,
As they toddled round and round.
And everybody cried,
As they hastened to their side,
'See! the Table and the Chair
Have come out to take the air!'

But, in going down an alley
To a castle in the valley,
They completely lost their way,
And wandered all the day
Till, to see them safely back,
They paid a Ducky-quack,
And a Beetle, and a Mouse,
Who took them to their house.

Then they whispered to each other,
'O delightful little brother!
What a lovely walk we've taken!
Let us dine on Beans and Bacon!'
So the Ducky and the leetle
Browny-Mousy and the Beetle
Dined, and danced upon their heads
Till they toddled to their beds.
In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

Yes I agree with what he says in Beautiful night. However, the Adore goes:

Heavenly angels crying down tears of joy falling
pouring down on us. They know we need each other
They know you are my fix. I know that you know I aint cheatin baby they know this is serious I'm not talk
ing bout for kicks no! this condition I got is
crucial. Crucial you can say that I'm a terminal
case. You can burn up my clothes smash up my ride.
Well maybe not the ride.

I didn't know it was a poem either but I can say the since Sheila went to elementary school in the Bay area she probably had to learn it in school. We were required to memorize all kinds of stuff, I still know the Gettysburg address...Paul Revere's ride...the village blacksmith..

I love that story that Prince called Sheila E and she was rapping through the phone, because he couldn't wait to record it.

The way she raps is funky, live it is slowed down, which makes it even better.

Care to elaborate on this story? I've never heard it.
