the other day i was listening to the PRINCE 3 cd-the HITS/
b-sides collection and remembered telling a new prince fan
i met this was a good beginner primer for them.

with this in mind...if you met a new prince fan and they
asked you for a dvd's worth of some of prince's best
video-performances (if you had access to prince's vault of
performances that is) which ones would you chose for them?

i'll begin with these: (out of the top of my head)

what i will say is collecting prince music (audio or video)
is a time-coming and expensive undertaking...because the
man is such a recording and performing fiend!

what i have isn't even the tip of the iceberg for that guy.

i don't get to go to the celebration event-due usually to
having to work and money matters...but i'm assuming they
show a lot of prince's performances there

(can any celeb veterans give me a witness on this?)

if they do-you could at least get to check these out.

Well they could start out by "purchasing" the released tapes Diamonds and Pearls, the hits, Gett off; Rave; SOTT, the beautiful experience, then there are the compilations from SNL and Dick Clark.
