hrmph I don't know. I like the orchestral parts by Clare Fischer. But listening to Prince using these odd keyboard sounds is a big disappointment.

U need help!

I tried SO hard 2 like Kama Sutra. Uh-uh. It's crap. It's probably a good test of whether u like anything P does just coz it's him, or if u can discern the wheat from the chaff (of course, this is just my opinion, who's else could it b?)

Granted, 'Kamasutra' is mostly tiresome to take in one sitting, but, going by tracks such as 'The Ever Changing Light', 'Overture #8' and 'Eternal Embrace', it's not entirely devoid of merit.

If I go by your "wheat and the chaff" analogy, I would say it's definitely 75% chaff 25% wheat.

Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

Kamasutra is better listened to "in bits here and there", otherwise one runs the risk of indigestion.

A bit like rich moist cake lol

I've tried twice...LONG time ago.

Can't get into it.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I really really hate the Kamasutra CD.

To my ears it is a pile of tuneless meandering new-age nonsense... Some of the songs sound like the cheesy demo songs you get built-in on cheap synthesisers... others sound ridiculously melodramatic. It's elevator music.

How it ever made it out of Paisley Park when Prince is no doubt sitting on plenty of old unreleased gems in his vault is just astounding to me. Strange behaviour for an artist that censors his own work so voraciously.

It is rumored that Kamasutra music was written by Prince for his wedding to Mayte. Did anybody else hear this? Of course, once that rumor hit the streets, I think we all wanted to hear it. lol

No, we don't "need help" if we happen to like Kamasutra. Why do you find it necessary to make that comment? Just say, "No I don't like Kamasutra", and keep moving. rolleyes
