When was the last time you listened to Kamasutra?

i found mine in amongst a box full of tapes that i stored away about 3 years ago.
I still havent listened to it yet.
Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
woot!

the last time i listened to kamasutra? um...5 years ago, when i bought it on bootleg.

without a doubt my least favorite prince release..ok, i take that back - i forgot about The New Master. that was worse.

i had such high hopes for this album too...serves me right for Xpecting LIVE instruments instead of a casio keyboard.

Oh, it's not SO bad.

I mean, okay, it's bad, but it's not SO SO SOOO bad.

I mean, 1999: The New Master. That's BAD.

There's some interesting stuff on Kamasutra, if you can wade through the treacly sugar-coma inducing casiotones.

Whenever I need to relax, it's a toss up between Karma, ONA-Piano, Expectation or Bob James.

I burned a CD with Cutz on it. I adore this very strange track. It never bother me, as it makes me think of Felini's Casanova. Kamasutra is Royal, very "Louis XVI", and that's an interesting side of Prince.

i never thought Prince could stoop so low as to release such a pretentious piece of music like Kamasutra. i couldn't even tell you what it sounds like anymore.

there is only one song on there I dislike, the one with the scissors sound. I have enough of his instrumentals, though to last me a life time. and now with N.E.W.S. another crappy instrumental.

TheP and Lovebird - exactly what I was gonna say.

I DO like 'Cutz' - it's very 'Madhouse' - but, as for the rest of it, hmmm...

Slowly gathering dust in my collection!

I'm sure I read an interview/article years ago (1994/5?) where Prince was stated as telling Placido Domingo that he was working on an opera or classical piece. (I think it was when P played the World Music Awards in Monaco). I hope to God it wasn't 'Kamasutra' he was referring to! ill

It is a great coaster in my house. Keeps my beer from leaving a mark on my furniture.

I listened to it the day I got it. Unfortunately, I'll never get that 45 minutes back.
