OK. What's the deal with 13? If "there's no such thing as luck" why is he attached to "7" and "13"?

The ONA Live version of Nothing Compares 2 U begins "It's been 7 hours and thirteen days". Now, unless I've been smoking 2 much of something, the original lyric was "fifteen days". Why the change?

WHoops! I guess I must've been smoking!!! Jusst checked the old Family album, and it always was "13" not 15. Don't I look the right fool?!

Still, why was he always in2 these numbers? THen again, who cares?

13 sounds better than 15. Go away Sinead.

7 is a very biblical number. it shows up all the time. and it's also just a cool number!

seven is a spiritual number yes. all thru the bible that number is used.
and 3 is a protection number.
not to mention 7 being his birthday. but he does not celebrate birthdays.so.
maybe a one point he was into numerology.
if you notice he always uses those numbers. including 6.
which again is the date of his birthday 6/7.
just a thought.

i think the phrasing is just prince's way of playing with norms.

he probably uses 7 and 13 to show the dichotomy between the two numbers.

he also messes with order by putting 7 hours first then 13 days. some people "normally" say 13 days, 7 hours, etc. but he probably also does this so the syllables match the song's meter.

I think we're looking in2 this whole number thing a little too much
