Whats this MADHOUSE stuff? I just downloaded 2 songs by Madhouse after searching for Prince on Kazaa: Raving Mad and Pickle... Raving Mad is awesome, Pickle is a little cheesy but its good too. I was wondering what the hell Madhouse is first of all and where are exactly all of these samples from? Personally . I think we are all Boring with No Lives cause all we do is talk about Prince,Criticize and Gossip. I need a Horny Man is what I Need and probably so do most of yas. Prince plays drums and keyboards.
Madhouse originated as a side project to allow Prince to release jazz and funk based tracks - largely instrumental. Two albums were officially released through the Paisley Park label - '8' and '16', together with several singles. Further tracks later found their way on to an Eric Leeds album, and despite various configurations for a third album - '24' - nothing official other than a single onthe 1-800NewFunk album and a version of a suite of songs known as The Dopamine Rush appeared on Eric's album. I've seen reports that 'Raving Mad' is not a Madhouse / Prince track but simply a fake. . [This message was edited Thu Jun 5 16:42:33 PDT 2003 by langebleu] ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. I just downloaded that "Pickle" and laughed my ass off... That's a pathetic FAKE, it doesn't even sound remotely like "Pickle"... Tickle my pickle??? Fucking pathetic... Someone just put some samples together and made this dumbass "song"... The original "Pickle" is fully instrumental, longer and has no drum-machine and is from '88... BTW the beat and bass used on this fake is from Wendy and Lisa's "Are You My Baby?" from '89... Anyway basicly Madhouse was Prince's little "Jazz" side-project fronted by Eric Leeds back in '87...
