It's a shame that Paisley Park was such a shite record label

Because there were some great songs/singles from PP artists that could have been huge hits with adequate promotion.

I'm just watching the Mia Bocca video now - such a shame.

Paisley Park Records rejected Warrant because Prince said the lead singer couldn't dance. Warrant went on to have million selling albums on the rock charts.

Paisley Park Records failed because the label signed acts based on their looks and image instead of on their talent and hit-making potential.

I like their early stuff, though. But yes,when they hooked up w/ Prince's label they turned into a crap band.

Besides the music I loved looking for records or tapes with that lil PAISLEY PARK logo in the shape of a paisley (same artwork from the ATWIAD era)!!! That logo was easy to identify. I didn't care for the style they used later cuz it was just in plain text.

that logo was dumb..I mean this is Prince here..his own label..and he chose that idiotic name and logo.
