are we hanging on to the PAST it has just hit me that Prince will be 45 years old ,it doesn't seem like it and he surely does not look it at all my hard reality is that he is 5 years from 50... friends things will never be the same, not that it should be however the good old days are truly missed.I wonder if all of us are stuck in the 80's just like our parents are caught in whatever' era felt good to them, and made them happy.maybe I am melancoly sometimes but Prince's music is timeless like your favorite pair of sweats it just feels right

YES! I think a lot of people are stuck in the past, but I think the main reason is that when Prince was very popular in the 80's...it was kind of cool to say you liked him. Maybe not so know...and that might be part of the reason as to why people keep hanging onto the past.

For me those days are gone the mystery has been revealed though he still tries to maintain some mystery, i'll never get the feeling i had when i first saw the video for controversy or sexuality

But I think other people give you a funny look when you say you like Prince. Usually the first thing they say is "Is he still around?". And that's what I was trying to get at...the 80's were just a golden age to be a Prince fan and some people want to relive it again.
