i wouldn't go so far as to say all that. he still has good performances in him when he doesn't just go through the motions... best chance of seeing him at his best is either at paisley at a *just announced* performance... or an aftershow where he actually changes the setlist.

best show i've seen him at was front row/center in hawaii in 1996... and even now, that show seems routine for him... like i and many others have said time and time again, if it wasn't for boots like the trojan aftershow in 1988, the dna aftershow in 1993, glam slam west in 1994, the paisley shows in 1995, many of us would've given up hope by now.

maybe not me... but, i'd be hanging on by a thread... a member of the npgmc, just hoping for some flicker of brilliance that once was...
