Game Boyz were extras in Purple Rain? Where? I just read in a cheap-ass Prince bio that the Game Boyz were extras in Purple Rain. Is there a scene in the movie where you can see them? or is this just BS? Toejam @ Peach & Black Podcast: http://peachandblack.podbean.com

Not sure if this is exact. But there is a scene at First Avenue early in the movie where four or five guys are dancing on the upper level. They look to be wearing blue uniforms and dancing some steps. Perhaps it is the early incarnation of the Game Boyz... Minneapolis Music Month in March on the

I don't think it has been established whether they appear as extras in the crowd, as some of the dancers on the balcony (basically silhouetted - there are 4 dancers in the one cut, I believe), or elsewhere. I seem to recall one of them (Damon?)saying in interview that they had been on the fringes for a considerable while.ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift. | |
