okay, here's the deal with Wendy & Lisa:
Wendy and Lisa both wanted to leave the band, Prince sent Bobby to convince them to stay for the rest of the Parade tour. After the Parade tour they had dinner with Prince where they, quit, said their good-byes, ect.
Now why Wendy and Lisa wanted to leave is a whole other can of worms.
So no, Prince did not fire them because they were lesbians. If he felt that way about gays wendy and lisa would've never been in the band in the first place. Gezze, I wish people would think. (I'm not talkin' about you).
Sounds like Per wanting to start some drama, which he does oh-so-well


Now for andre, I haven't the faintest idea.
The given reaon might be true, as others have complained about the same thing.

Why Lisa & Wendy wanted leave, I guess that's partly life imitating art - They felt they weren't getting enough creative control if I remember correctly (from DMSR), and wanted to pursue other avenues - i.e. their own music.

Also they weren't comfortable with the expansion of the Revolution after the Family disbanded (and the live outfit merged with the existing Revolution).

The prominence of Jerome, Wally, Greg in the band meant that Prince was hanging out with this bunch of no-talents more instead of the original Revolution.

From reading between the lines (of DMSR and Possessed) you get the impression that Wally & Greg were probably quite derogatory to Wendy & Lisa, maybe even mysogynistic.

Prince was hanging out more with these black men (who brought nothing musicial or creative to the band) - (BTW, I make a point about them being black because I think it's a contributing factor, not as an off-hand remark - I guess what I really mean is working-class male bravado), and maybe his attitude and how he carried himself changed when he was around them - and maybe W&L thought this was a bit phoney, or weak, of Prince to try and fit in with the crowd. And this may have given them the push to do something about going solo.

When Prince got wind he felt hurt and betrayed, but wanted to keep them on for the Parade tour, after which he fired them - but I guess they were thinking leaving anyway, so it's pretty much 6 of one and 1/2 a dozen of the other.

Add to the this the turbulent and volatile relationship with Susannah - Wendy was finding it hard to watch Prince, her friend, band-mate and employer mess around her twin sister - and having her in the band probably made things even more claustrophobic.

I guess on the tour Prince may have decided to shelve The Dream Factory and disband the Revolution since he wanted to ditch Bobby in favour of Sheila, and Wendy & Lisa wanted to leave anyway - so it was falling apart - add to this Wally & Greg giving him a new black-buddy hang-out crowd, the original Revolution were probably growing apart, and Prince wanted to move on musicially (this was his most experimental and prolific period) - and all the factors converged to the Revolutions split.

even with all the Artist P has worked with any of them that did do somethin' on their own didn't last as long unless u count Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. they're the only MPLS Musicians that has lasted as long as P even tho it's not them performin' it themselves. they have Janet, Usher, Tamia & all them other people who r ok in my Oppinion.

remember these two were high school mates and roomed together. their FALLing out had to be rough for both men.

wendy & lisa's thing with prince has always taking precedence top fans over andre's break-up but the truth is
andre was there when prince started playing and lived with him,too. plus bernadette anderson was like p's surrogate
mom-which made their relationship tighter.

if you look at the old footage of p with andre you see they
had a vibe together (that even wendy didn't have with him)

brothers...that's what they were.

anyway that's what's the deal is on andre & prince.
