Well I finally got around to putting Sign 'O' The Times on 1 cd. I have a Philips cd recorder with allows me to record up to 80 min. I didn't even have to edit any of the songs. All I did was take out the space between tracks. Most of the songs are shorter than what is written on the cd. So this allows me to shorten the cd length. The length of the cd is 79:48.

I still love the feel of an actual double album. It's a creative statement.

Why? Because the artist that had to deal with a two LP situation had to determine how to arrange the songs on the album with those considerations.

Also, has anyone seen the latest Sign O CD in the stores?

It's not in a large two disc set CD jewel case, it's a slimmer 2 tray CD jewl case, makes it feel more modern.

I wish they would of kept the Heart label though, I love the baby blue heart labels on the original releases.

On the LP's they had a huge label, then on the cassettes they had a small cute label and I forgot on the CD's. I think they had the heart label as part of the Long Box design, if I remember correctly, got to pull that long box out from my collection and see.

I also have one that is not in any 2 cd case at all...it's just in 2 single-cd cases. I won it from a radio station.

the one i bought about 2 years ago is the slimcase.

it would b perfect 2 not only get the sound up & b able 2 remaster it yourself...
but also get it on one disc.

i cant b stuffed tho.

I almost all the albums from the 80's as long boxes, some are still sealed! The thing is that they had to modify the album design and move things around on the long boxes packaging. It's just a more complete special CD type thing.

They also had long boxes for mini CD singles and Cassingles, I used to have them for U Got The Look and Hot Thing. They're were the long versions on Cassingle...oh, how I regret selling those.

Anyway, yeah, they're a rarity in collecting.
