Diamond & Pearls: The Tribute Album... Ok, if there were gonna be a "tribute" album to Diamonds & Pearls (and don't ask me why I picked this album as deserving a tribute...lol), who would you have sing each of the songs?
Just to get things rollin'... "Thunder": Whitney Houston (what the hell, give her sumthin' to do besides snort the day away...) "Daddy Pop": Bilal (I just see his ability to send his voice into all kinds of directions as being a good fit to this song) "Diamond & Pearls": Celine Dion (heh..lol) "Cream": Justin Timberlake (heh, pt.2) "Strollin": Phillip Bailey (from Earth, Wind & Fire) "Willing & Able": Christina Aguilera (like her or not, she would belt the shit out of this song) "Gett Off": The Prodigy (They'd take the beat to this song, and make it even wilder...along with give it a revved-up energy) "Walk Don't Walk": Sheryl Crow (she'd prolly make it a little more folksy..) "Jughead": Eminem (serves him right, gettin' this song...lol...seriously, tho, I'd love to see him just insult the hell out of this song in his updated lyrics while performing this song...sorry, I dislike it that much...8) ) "Money Don't Matter 2 Night": Steely Dan (he was trying to do them anyway, right??...lol) "Push": TLC (before Left-Eye's death...  )
"Insatiable": Maxwell (he may very well end up giving Prince's version a run for it's money...  )
"Live 4 Love": U2 (with some updated lyrics about the war in Iraq, no doubt...) So...would ya buy it??... 8)... If not, give your own artists to perform on this tribute album, you're so smart...   | |
