Sorry utopia7, but I'm going against you as well on this one. I love Xpectation, and the sample does sound mighty fine. I never really listen to the words until I heard the music a thousand times, only then I'll think "now what's he singing about?". CAN'T WAIT! weve had what 30 odd albums worth of regular material, a few more conceptual compositions are fine with me as they showcase his wider talents and maky my collection more diverse and complete.

True my friend, but live Never matches the studio. Prince needs to find anger again. Under his own admitance, it makes him deviver powerful songs (Thieves, Doves etc). He needs to channel his latest "racist" anger into his songs. Not turn them into ballads. . | |

Yeah, I'm sorry too, but Xpectation was a real treat, and the East sample is SLICK. I'm so glad to hear that he's not going to confine himself to more classic jazz sorts of sounds. . .he's trying new things (ok, I'm slow, I just GOT it. . .N,E,W,S are him going in different directions. . .hehehe). I'd be sorry if he never released vocals again, but instrumentals are cool with me too. | |

it's on my Instrumentalove cd. tho so is SensualEverafter,Deconstruction & The Rapture...
on Xpectation i dont like the peppy stuff like Xemplify or Xpectation (Xpedition is gr8 tho)... but i LOVE the slower stuff. its just wonderful 2 mellow out 2...sit by a sunset with it on in the car... 2 fall asleep 2... its beautiful music. & THAt kinda stuff,or mad guitar stuff,is what i would LOVE right now. just perhaps one more AMAZING instrumental work with that kinda vibe, then P can get back 2 funkin' it up if he pleases. ***************************************************************************************
