It took him 3 or 4 tries till he finally lit them up. yeah i 4got about this one. ***************************************************************************************

Sheila E's "Romance 1600" video: when Prince and the Revolution join onstage to perform "A love bizarre" at one point Prince takes his coat off and throws it away and it falls on Wendy's guitar. *********************************

Paisley Park February 14th 1994 concert: I don't remember during which song this happens, anyway Prince calls out for a "guitar solo on the 1", the band stops but no guitar solo is performed. *********************************

At the Richmond HIT N RUN show, the vocals and music to WHEN DOVES CRY didnt match up (during the intro) and I'd never seen 1 person look so angry. Prince looked like he could kill someone! You can hear the fuck up on the bootleg...

I've got a vinyl boot of one of the Lovesexy gigs, I think it was in Stockholm, where during "Girls and Boys" the drum machine goes completely out of time with the rest of the band, but they all carry on like nothing's happened.

rosie o'donnell show...1996, promoting emancipation.
prince performed somebody's somebody & holy river. he made mistakes during both performances. on somebody's somebody, his guitar solo started off-key. then on holy river, he sang "putting your things in faith that only make you cry..." instead of "putting your faith in things..."

The Hague aftershow 1988 (Small Club): he messes up the lyrics to "Forever in my life" whereas the chorus sings them correct. *********************************

During the Northrop show at the 2000 Celebration, didn't he forget some lines? I remember him running round with the songbook, which he dropped a couple of times and lost the page. It was all cool, tho, part of the laidback vibe of the show. "We've never been able to pull off a funk number"
"That's becuase we're soulless auttomatons"

Stockholm, 1986 at the end of Purple Rain, Prince gives us the bandmembers names, but he messes up and says: "Greg Safford, Wally Brooks" (...) he has to laugh when he notices and he says "you didn't know the difference". Quite funny.

Yeah, he kept singin', "The Christ..."... Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Yeah, he kept singin', "The Christ..."... I don't think it was "The Christ".This was before he met Larry Graham...

During the '96 Today Show Street performance,
his guitar was way to low and right before the solo, you can hear Prince yell ( TURN ME UP OVER HERE!)... The techs did not get it going and when he was done with the performance, he threw the guitar over the back of his head and let it crash on the street. I was pissed too. That really sucked for a live TV performance. "It Ain't Over" Live CD, Joy In Repetition" I really believe this was a mistake, but it worked out great. Instead of singing "Up on the mike repeating two words over and over again", he starts singing "Two Words, falling between the drops"... You're about to hear Larry Graham play JIR...etc, then kicks into the first solo. It sounded to me like he realized the lyric mistake then turned it around, which was cool since we got two amazing guitar solos out of it. TIED the guitar to his calf and then proceeded to DRAG it around as if to punish it for going out!!! All the while ranting and screaming about "why is it women always thnk you're doin' someone else??" for about 10 min. IT WAS AWESOME!!!
...But, DAMN, what a freak!!! (and that's why i love him.) Absolutely! I was at this show and couldn't believe he tied the guitar to his leg and then tried to slam it into everything! Also, at the Park West show the day of the Oprah taping... Prince started to sing the lyrics to the set-opener "Jam of the Year" and the mic was mixed very low and with a ton of reverb. He was in such a "good" mood that he said, "that's alright, that's alright". During that same show, his guitar crapped out on him during Purple Rain as well. Once it was corrected he knocked out one of his best solos I've ever heard. I was standing about 5 feet away from him that night...fun to watch. Anyone out there have this performance?

one of the best threads ever!. I'll never forget back in '88
Birmingham, UK, Lovesexy tour. It was only the second time i'd seen Prince and as sad as it is to admit i took my binoculars!!. Anyway midway through either Sheila, Bonny or Eric fucked up big style during a song. Prince stopped the show dead , turned around to his band and screamed 'i thought y'alls suppossed tobe professionals' and cued up again. I'll never forget the look of fear on those three faces or the reaction of the whole stadium, we were like 'did he really just do that?'

Even better was at the Brixton accademy show on the NPS tour , Prince was doing a piano solo , the crowd were hushed in deep contemplation as he tinkled those keyes and was using that falsetto so well. Meanwhile up in the corner was a flag that got caught up in a fan and it flapped louder and louder and louder. Prince kept staring up at it and could take it no more, gave it and the audience a wry smile and walked off stage with such cool!. It got fixed he strutted back, sat down and carried on as if nothing had happened.

Hey, i was right up front for that too! I normally dread when he does Purple Rain cuz it usually sounds forced and done out of necessity, but that night brought me to tears and goosebumps!! That guitar solo was INSANE!!! Wish i had it on tape too. Also, don't know if this counts, but i was at the taping of Oprah and he did "Betcha By Golly Wow" in a funky bright green outfit and the sound was awful, and thus it never even made the cut when the show aired. He must have hated it! They even tried to perform it twice!!

Parade Tour NYC 1986. Sheila E is onstage and they are performing Love Bizarre and moving to the end of the show. After Prince was dancing all over the place most of the show, suddenly he's staying at the lead mike, moving only one leg. No more Dancing. There was no encore.
We found out later that night that he pulled his hamstring doing a split during the show, and was in some serious pain. "Funk is something you learn in school
and there ain't nothing funky about bein' cool."

 The Grammy Awards(I think 85)... He was about to sing the first verse for "Baby I'm A Star". When he grabbed the mic. off the stand it slapped him in the face. He played it off very well & continued to put on a cool performance.
