To anyone who dislikes Graffiti Bridge, the song...

...try losing yourself in the sincerity of its intent. I think it should be considered one of the most beautiful songs Prince has ever written for precisely this reason and I find it a real shame that such honesty often makes people feel sick. Everybody wants to find Graffiti Bridge, y'all don't know!

dammit, if you're going to praise sincere but cheesy schlock on the GB album, at least pick Still Would Stand All Time.

The rare occassions that I listen to GB, I don't press skip on this track. As far as I can recall I've only played the version of Everybody Wants to Find Grafitti Bridge all the way through once. That was enough

Actually, besides the opening of the song, the rest isn't so bad.. nice build up, a bit of chorus and guitar going on. It's that turn off beginning "everybody wants to find graffiti bridge." He has a couple of songs that start badly but turn out to be much better, including one off Xpectation (I can't remember the name).
Life it ain't real funky unless you got that orgPop.

The song is pure cheese! I kind of secretly like it if I'm in the right mood though, shhh

That song is foul. Not as foul as TRC tracks, but foul.

Oh, and on topic: The only part of that song that sinks into me is where it goes, "The love of a boy...the love of a girl...the love of a something something something world.."...

"Still Would Stand All Time" destroys it in terms of raw emotion, sincerity and heartfelt vocals...
