Music and videos on the same disc?

If Prince released his next album as a CD/DVD on one disk where there would be videos to match the songs on the album, do you think that it would be a successful push for us Prince fans? If the songs are quality songs, do you think that it will be a commercial success? As far as I know, no other artist has done this for an entire album. I think it be like the Sound and Vision bootlegs because there's nothing like a visual representation of a great song, especially one that you love. Prince I hope that you are reading this, cause it's an idea that would work to your favor.

Prince, If u are reading this, may I add:

CAN U DO A PROPER HIDDEN TRACK?

You are not exactly hiding it by putting gaps of silence between the main CD and the so called "hidden" track.

It's too easy to find!

The way to do it is to put your hidden track as track zero.
(play Maxwell's second CD to get what im on about for example)

What happens is the CD plays as normal at Track 1 and then the listener uses the CD's search button << to wind it back to Track 0 and Bam - There is the hidden track.

The whole hidden track idea is a bit outdated.
I would rather see him find a new gag.

annawaiting

i could never get my stereo to play maxwells hidden track so that sux.. anyway, a lot of groups will put the hidden track at the end of the final track with a couple minutes of silence, and if u don't know about it u will take the cd out and never listen to it. solo did that on their first cd, and actually had a funky track called solo strut that was really good, but u had to get thru the silence.

peace

i do think that artists should do the music and video on the same disc. that way u could listen to the album in your ride and watch it in your house. most artists film all of their videos before the cd is released anyway. they could actually take the time to make the videos follow the album.

that would have certainly made the rainbow children a better album, have a movie to follow, or have it performed in it's completion live. just my 2 cents

www.purplemusic.net for those who are tired of waiting to see ona on dvd...

It has been done. The Super Fury Animals released Rings Around The World as a DVD Album each of the tracks had a video to match. They also released a normal version for those without DVD players. Not everyone as a DVD player so Prince would risk alienating those fans that have not yet gone digital.
It were proper bo I tell the!! Bo Selecta!

Having already alienated the ones with no decent internet access.
