Medleys...etc Don't get me wrong. I like the medleys that P does. But is it just me, or does it sometimes piss u when he rips into a song...only 2 not finish it...and so forth...sometimes it can be good, but sometimes when it's a fave and he doesn't finish it, i am sad. guess it's all part of his artistic vision in putting 2gether a show 4 us. What say u?

I agree, soetimes it works, but most of the time it just annoys me, as you want to hear the bridge or the 3rd verse or something and he goes in to Raspberry Beret The Hottest chip of them all - www.hotchip.co.uk - Get down with Prince

On the One Nite Alone Live album...he goes through quite a few songs...1 huge medley...and some he barely scratches...sometimes i think he has sooo much material that he doesn't know what to do with it...on that album at least it seems to come off well but at other times...on the Rave disc i wish he sat at the piano 4 more than 2 seconds...it's all great ofcourse...but we have 2 complain. We r human!

i let a friend hear the ONA disc 2.
he was a fan back in the day and he was quite pissed off that he wasnt playin the full song. I kinda like the medleys tho!! Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

I just don't get the point of medleys.
Perhaps a medley is good for very old artists whom need to cover a lot of ground very quickly before they are ushered backstage again to have a quick fix on the oxygenmask. But apart from that I don't see the point in doing a medley. Especially not in a regular concert. It's such a downer when a medley begins and you know that every song that's gonna be played will only be played for a few lines of 1 chorus. And still people go nuts when it starts. I'm always lookin at people like "it's gonna stop in 5 seconds you know, it's gonna bloody fucking stop you ass". The bloodboiling, toecurcling moment extraordinaire of all medleys everywhere is the fact that "Condition of the Heart" gets a tracktitle on the ONA release, be it with an "interlude" moniker tagged on, but still. And it's only 10 bleedin seconds long. That sums up the whole medley thing for me right there. 10 fucking seconds and it's "OOOh he played 'Condition' too!!" Can I please get my underwear back, it's the black one, yeah, next to renato. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

damn thats putting it into perspective IstenSzek. I like the medleys to an extent. As soon as some of the classics get butchered it makes no sense. How can we sing along or shake our tails 2 a few lines of a classic. It's ok if he does it every now and then...but he does it so frequently. It's like he is forgetting the words or somethin' cause he's done so much...or something. I may get my head bitten' off...but if Michael jackson went on stage and did not finish Billy Jean...how crap would that have been. I don't understand why P does not finish the 1's that were his biggest hits and what we know him 4 best. If anything i want him 2 xtend the songs on stage and not downsize them into a few bloody seconds...go into a jam or somethin'...but don't cut the songs...imagine 1 concert where P finishes all the songs...yeah imagine.
