NPS, that was on point right there.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Who is this addressed at NPS, there's an glaringly obvious agenda, but I'd like to know who your intended audience is, who you were addressing with the lyrics.

Dolphin (The Moorish Remix) by NPS

How whitewashed did the words have 2 be
Before they conquered every heart?
How far would you have let me go
If U knew I was black from the very start?

If I came back as a Negro
Would U listen 2 me then?
Would U let me be your friend?
Would U let me in?
U can cut off my kinky hair
But even with a perm, the 'fro' still grows in
And both of my parents are black
So don't be fooled by the light-skin

Why does a brother have 2 get money
And fame in order for you to return his call?
But even after then, if you're band is no longer white
They'll say you're Possessed and call it a "fall"

If I came back as a Negro
Would U listen 2 me then?
Would U let me be your friend?
Would U let me in?
U can cut off my kinky hair
But even with a perm, the 'fro' still grows in
And both of my parents are black
So don't be fooled by the light-skin

If I wasn't a rock star, would U embrace me--
An everyday Negro--would U face me?
It's happened before, I've knocked on your door
But U wouldn't let me in

How whitewashed did the words have 2 be
Before they conquered every heart? (Oh!)

If I came back as a Negro
Would U listen 2 me then?
Would U let me be your friend?
Would U let me in?
U can cut off my kinky hair
But even with a perm, the 'fro' still grows in
And both of my parents are black
So don't be fooled by the light-skin

Negro
As a Negro
As a Negro
As a Negro

Yes, he has been told.

NPS
I know it can't be easy being you...
feeling all the pains you do
knowing all the stuff you know
having all the class you show

Keeping it real, yet taking it higher
while refusing to allow the mire
of racism to drown you in its slime
nor make you think that all is fine.

Light gives forth light so as you go
do what you must because surely you know
that darkness is lurking closely behind
trying to control you soul and mind

No, it can't be easy being you...
feeling all the pains you do
knowing all the stuff you know
having all the class you show

Yet still coming in second.
So...how's everybody doing? smile

RD pretty much says it.

If the agenda is so "glaringly obvious" why are you asking me this question?

The agenda is obvious, but the intended audience is not.

Are you afraid to say it?

I would imagine the intended audience are all those who got their panties up in a bunch over (among other things) "The Moors in Spain" by Prince. Those who feel Prince is being "divisive" with his stance in songs like 2045 Radical Man and Avalanche.

It looks like NuPwrSoul is saying that Prince is a black artist from black parentage on both sides. He is not a white rock artist and should not be attacked for exploring issues regarding the history of black cultures.

I think NuPwrSoul's song says it all. Why does he have to explicitly state who the intended audience is. It's obvious to me.

Hey, Prince "whitewashed" his words, no one else made him do it.

It's not cool any more to be androgynous and non-racial, I think that's what it boils down to.

It's cool to be black, and it's cool to be masculine.
