I'm expecting a lot of folks to ask where I've been when this was released, but that's cool. I just downloaded this track and I must say it is excellent. It's moments like these where you realize, "Prince really is a genius!". However, I thought he could've been less preachy with the lyrics. What are your thoughts?

I like the track too. I don't know that it's preachy. For me it just seems that he threw that chorus on there only half believing it. After Everlasting Now and particularly Family Name "coming together" seems a little far-fetched. I love the album nonetheless.
