Which one gets your vote, what was your most favourite Prince Tour?

My vote goes to Parade!

my favorite was the Lovesexy Tour...but i wasn't lucky enough to get tickets, so i wasn't there. My favorite that I've actually attended was The Rainbow Children (oops, i mean One Nite Alone).

this is sorta a tough question 4 me 2 answer, cuz of a couple factors:

my age

haven't seen ol' boy live that much

...but what i've learned about p's different tours over the years and footage that i've watched, i'll say that the dirty mind, controversy and 1999 tours seemed pretty kick-ass.

...but SOTT was cancelled in London so I missed it - that could have measured up. Parade was great too. Nothing I have seen him do since '88 came anywhere near these in quality except ONA - but I would still put that in 4th.

But D & P and Act II kicked ass, too!

Nobody mentioned the NUDE-Tour, but i liked the opening part (The Future/1999/Housequake/Sexy Dancer/Kiss/Purple Rain) very much. Sadly these shows were very short, but the final part (Partyman/Baby I'm A Star) was pretty good fun, too. And the second half of 'The Question Of U' (guitar solo and pantomime part)...my god!

That's a hard one. Dirty Mind was so raw and fresh, Purple Rain had the world in his hands, Parade was funky and soulful, SOTT/Lovesexy entertaining showing him at the peak of his powers, Diamonds & Pearls the confident relative comeback.

I think the Gold tour was one of his most interesting due to it's lack of older material, after it he stagnated for a few years with the JOTY/NPS medley shows, which would count as my least favourite tours of his.
