This was the worst IMO, they just took the pictures of Rosie out and put Mayte in-Rubbish.

Not to my knowledge.

This probably means that there were no tour programmes prior to the ones issued for the 'Purple Rain' tour.

I love all the tour books, but was really disappointed by PR.

The pic are grainly and a little out of focus. Don't get me wrong it was a good first attempt, but that one needs to be re-issued with better photos. If they have them.

I agree with you regarding the 'Purple Rain' tourbook.1984 was Prince's year, but that tourbook looked like it was hastily thrown together.

I remember I snuck into the Forum in Los Angeles when a show was cancelled, fans outside got a chance to purchase tour book, it was sold at the shows. Lot's of NPS era photos, they were nicely done, but the style and era isn't one of my personal favorites.

There definitely wasn't a tourbook for sale at Wembely 1998 NPS show and Madhouse list what I believe to be this tourbook as withdrawn. This also applies with the SOTT book or it's variant I think.

I've never seen or heard mention of any pre-Purple Rain tourbooks.

Hear Hear! Out of all of His tour books, the Lovesexy one is the one that hits the spot - Ok, so the cover NOW looks a little 'dated'/whatever (I actually like the whole thing) but if u were at that tour, u will remember it with a smile and fond memories. I remember sitting at Wembely awaiting the little man and reading that amazing little piece of work.
let's face it, it was GREAT QUALITY, and how often is it nowadays that ANY artist produuces an tour book of such high standard. SOTT is nice 2, but the Lovesexy book was fantastic... nod
