Moonbeam Levels - let's start a collection!

OK...now we all know that someone out there has a DIGITAL copy of this true Prince classic!
It's one of them songs you can listen to over and over, never get tired...and spin it once again.

The sheer energy of the song, the passion in Prince's voice...the stellar production and amazing lyrics.

We all know this song is rated right along side "All My Dreams" and "Empty Room" as probably the finest of all his unreleased recordings fans have been able to hear.

Certain folks have access to pristine and crystal clear copies of this song + full length. It goes on longer then what is circulating, it continues after the fade.

So maybe we as a fanbase should offer a bounty or cash incentive for said person,or person's, to "free the music", if you will.

I would definately put $20 in the kitty to give someone the incentive to let this one out for all of us, as a fanbase, to enjoy.

moonbeam levels belongs in the sndtrack of a 80s john hughes film ...as the main couple of the movie finally kiss & live happily everafter & the credits roll...

not that its a bad thing.
i love john hughes films.

it would have been a radio HIT!

but i think Computerblue (longass version) is THE outtake
with I Hear Your Voice (simple but powerful as a muthafucka)

& WonderfulAss is cool but overrated

Hey Lib, you implied a while back (in the "old" prince.org) that you had the outtake By Alien Means and
would be releasing it sometime "soon",so I reckon as a goodwill gesture to whomever has a digital Moonbeam Levels you should let loose any juicy outtakes you have for us all to see, maybe start the music flowing yourself eh eh wink ,then others will follow

Indeed, 'Moonbeam Levels' does go on for longer than what is currently circulating. Just about.

The actual end of this song reminds me of Rick Wakeman's piano playing at the end of David Bowie's 'Life On Mars?'.

Moonbeam Levels is a good track. Isn't it only called that on Dreams?? I have always know it as "A better place to die" as it is called on The Jewel Box.

'Moonbeam Levels'is indeed its proper title.

'A Better Place 2 Die' is just a misconstrued title.

I've never heard this song either but at this point it's been so overhyped to the point that I'm bound to be unimpressed if and when I do hear this track...
