Damnit, you're ruining the integrity of my posts. Let's get to the bottom of this and settle the matter. It's NOT Keaton. Simple.

no, but it's definately Prince at the top of the belltower in the final scenes, it's gotta be.Who else would wear a suit like that?

I've had a look at the lyrics sheet in my CD

1) They DO say it is Prince
2) They get other lyrics wrong / miss out lyrics etc.

It sounds like Keaton to me.

We should start this debate on the NPGMC site next. Let's all go there now!!

Quite right! I apologise.

Let's face it, we can't really be sure either way - except a lot of people are completely certain.

If this was the last question on WWTBAM - is it A) Prince or B) Keaton, I'd be taking the money.

I don't think anyone's losing it - it all seemed quite humourous and good-natured (I did highlight that we were referring to "minutae" here!) but skimming through the thread wouldn't show that.

And, pejman, why was it important enough for you to quickly respond to rossy7's question categorically stating that Prince does NOT appear in the movie, yet your skirting the debate about whether he is.

Its a hardly a hot debate granted, nor is it important, but its about as valid as any other debate on here and of the same consequence.

Why not say what you think? Do you hear Prince or Keaton?

Oh and, Finess, but is it a "fuckin voice sample"?? Legend says its Prince - again, don't sit on the fence, who do you hear? Legend says its easy if you are a fan of Prince, its unmistakable, we should all be able to recognise its him.

what the hell, i'll just say what I've always thought.

On the album is prince

On the movie is keaton

Mystery solved.

I actually think both samples sound slightly different, but that's just me, i suppose. sad

It is Michael Keaton yelling "STOP!"

Prince's voice becomes a bit coarse when he yells like that. Listen to the way he yells "Fuck off!" in purple rain.

Micheal Keaton's voice is deeper than Prince's. And the exclamation of "Stop!" sounds clear and natural not coarse or forced.

Fuck me. It's clearly Michael Keaton. What kind of mad freaky fan could ever think that was Prince?

No way is that prince. That's just madness.

That is definitely Prince saying "Stop" at the end of the Batman CD. Now off to check the DVD...

Alright, checked the DVD, the part where he says stop is right at the beginning of chapter 17. Can't tell if it is Prince or not, sounds like it may be him but it is too close to call.

OK, back 2 the question.
It was asked if Prince did a cameo in the film.
in person.
And I remember a discussion in this forum where ppl told Prince was in the film (for a short time, like seconds, rushing etc.)
I'm interested in this question 2.
Anyone?

erm...btw: It was Keaton (don't hit me chair ..but seriously: I never thought anyone would doubt that.
That's 4 sure.)

as far as i know, a very BRIEF cameo was filmed at Pinewood, but it was NEVER included in the final, released cut. I doubt it was anything worth getting worked up about.
STOP!
PS: It's Michael Keaton batfink. rolleyes

Wouldn't it be great IF this type of trivia could reliably be answered at the NPGMC.

For years I've listened to the "stop" on the CD and thought it was Prince's voice. But now that others mention it, Keaton is a possibility. Never really stopped to think that their voices could be confused for one another.
