I sure as hell tire of being associated with his weirdness.
I have to hide the fact i'm a fan, sometimes it's sooo embarrasing to be "into" Prince.

I'm pretty sure John Blackwell became a JW.

No, I don't think they get tired of his "being different".
They probably know him pretty well.
They are probably happy to be where they are.

As far as trying to convert "one" of them...don't you mean "all" of them?
Surely you don't think he would discriminate. lol

A while back someone posted a item on here stating that Prince told all his band members they would have to study with the JWs if they wanted their jobs.

At John Blackwell's workshop at last year's celebration, it seemed to me that he was very uncomfortable talking about that religion, like he was asked to do so.

Pardon my speculating:

But, he's probably surrounded by people who respect ideas. One would hope in his 40s Prince has learned to respect other folks' beliefs. I recall him mentioning, years ago, that his band comprised vegetarians. That in itself seems hard to amass. I can't imagine them all being followers of the same faith. I know he has a reputation for being controlling, but still...

If he is the same with the people closest to him as he is with the people that follow his musical career, they probably do get tired of it all.

I know I do. It's not easy diggin Prince. Good thing he's sooo worth the hassle.
I'm firmly planted in denial

Anyone know what happened to Kirky? I haven't heard his name mentioned in ages. At one time him and P. were very close. I think Kirky was his best man at his wedding to Mayte. Did Kirky get the boot because he didn't believe in Prince's JW conversion or is he still in the picture somewhere?

I think it's fun that people think we're wierd because we like Prince - Ridicule is nothing to be scared of - it's fun! wink

I imagine some band members go along with his silliness because they get to work with a living legend, and get a regular pay cheque to boot.
