Q is absolutely awful now. I dont know how the editors cant see it. Whereas once you used to get whole page reveiws you now get a couple of paragraphs if youre lucky. Where once there was quality interveiws there is now crappy summations of what are seemingly 5 minute conversatiobns with artists. Its all gloss and pictures now.

The sad demise of a once loved publication.

Q has definitely degenerated into an embarrasing pastiche of Smash Hits (a now defunct UK teeny pop mag) with sole the distiction that it reads more and more like a Radiohead fanzine and is much, much thicker.

And that's the sad truth.

Plus, it cost's too much on this side of the Atlantic.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Smash Hits is not defunct. In fact it's bigger than ever - it's now a national digital radio station, a tv programme on UK's Channel 5 and a digital tv channel.

One of the reasons Q may feel like a pastiche of Smash Hits, is that they are both owned by the same company (emap) and their editorial teams share an office (along with other music titles Mojo, Kerrang and Mixmag)
