Okay,for those of U who own this,please explain this,break it down for me...you know,if I decide to add this to my collection,I wanna know what EXACTLY am I getting?

I have this tape. It is fairly good quality because it was the shoot for the video. Its novel because it is in color and everything from UTCM was black and white. THey run through the song over and over and stop to make adjustments throughout. I think its interesting but you need to be hardcore to dig it all.

I also have this tape & agree with LaMont that if you're a hardcore fan, it's a fascinating watch. They shoot the whole song through from different angles; different dance steps are tried out, etc. There's even a run-through of the song with just Dr.Fink doing his thing solo, also Bobby Z.
After watching the 2-hour tape though, you're probably never going to want to hear "Mountains" ever again. Just a warning.

I agree with all of you

You have to be a REAL HARDCORE fan to enjoy it
If you are it is interesting and the qality is really good
You probably watch it once and never again as there really is not much "happening" and after half an hour or so you might start to lose your concentration a bit

I have it too, but I've only ver watched it once, its really not suitable for repeat veiwings .. cause it feels like that the first time. Its pretty interesting to see the process though. Must stress its all being done to a playback,that is if you think you're gonna get 2 hours of them playing Mountains you'll be disappointed!

It's interesting in that it is a lesson on how a music video is produced, and frankly, how tedious the whole process is. It is fun to see Prince swirl out off camera, and watch Lisa Coleman blow the hair out of her eyes 6000 times. Lisa Coleman was an 80's babe.

oh man! one of the funniest moments on the
tape is watching how silly Bobby Z is in his
solo shoot. He is "playing" along with the
song and goes off beat a couple of times.
It seems as if he isn't trying wholeheartedly
to get it exactly right. And if that is not
the case then I would have to say:
Bobby Bobby, you playin along with a
d r u m m a c h i n e
He even drops a stick near the end and
gives you a big pout to end off his clip
