Adore Vs. Crucial

These are two very beutiful ballards, both well written and preformed. But Which one is better? I personally think that crucial is better, maybe it's the guitar solo at the end. What do you guys think?

thank you, it's a nice song, but I will never, ever be able to undertand the second-coming status of this song

why not "slow love" "the beautiful ones", "condition of the heart", "forever in my life"---those are some great ballads too

I think Prince made the cut for us. He picked Adore.

I do too. Adore is more lush.

But there is no accounting for taste.

Adore...by far...Adore
kisses

These words alone:
Until the end of time
I'll be there for you
You own my heart and mind
I truly adore you

If God one day struck me blind
Your beauty I'd still see
Love's too weak too define
Just what you mean to me...
(hope I got the words right, this is what I hear at least LOL)

Lush...is the word, as gooey said

They're both great songs, but I see why Prince chose to close the album with Adore. More catchier.

Personally I love "Crucial" and I think it is one of the finest song ever written by P so I choose this one... but I also like "Adore" as well.

Crucial was intended for SOTT, but replaced by Adore - according to the liner-notes of the Crystal Ball-CD.
I think both are great songs to bring this album to conclusion.

I can see why Crucial was replaced by Adore. Crucial is a much simpler song. Same chords through the whole thing. Not much going on musically. Adore builds up to that glorious crescendo at the end. It's on a whole other level.

Adore is one of Prince's best tracks. Crucial is a nice outtake.

I can see why he put Adore on the album in favor of Crucial.
I like Crucial a lot, but Adore has more going for it and
the lyrics are so very smoothly cool.

One thing I never fully got was why "Crystal Ball" was not
on the cd and yet "It's Gonna B A Beautiful Nite" was still
there after the various changes.

IGBABN is the only song on Sign I would trade for pretty
much anything else from those sessions.

Groove: Crucial
Lyrics: Adore

For SOTT, Adore fits better, IMO, due to the gritty sound of Crucial.

Prince ruined Crucial on Crystal Ball by adding all the syth. The 2 bootleg versions I heard were far superior.

What synth? At the end? The beginning on Crystal Ball is just him playing the guitar w/ an echo emulator.
