She went to his house, and he refused to let her call a driver to leave... and he told her stuff and made her cry... and when Prince was questioned about it, he said, "I don't know what she's talking about"

I need to dig up this article... me and my friends were laughing so hard at that last part. Celebreties are hilarious peoples!

I remeber reading about it in one of those gossip rag of a paper. My sister & i laughed our asses off as we read it. I wonder if it actually happened. I do know that at least some of the information they receive a portion of it is the truth.

This alleged incident happened when Steve Fargnoli was managing Sinead (after being fired by Prince in '89). I always wondered if he was behind the whole thing in order to damage Prince's reputation.

This is one of the craziest stories ever,and I wonder how much of it is true.Remember,during this period,Sinead was having problems with many other artists,and she was constantly badmouthing other people in her interviews.


Anyway,the story goes like this...In late 1990 or early 1991,Prince supposedly invited Sinead to his home,where he then proceeded to cuss her out."He continually threatened to beat the shit out of me",O'Connor claims.She says that Prince was yelling at her because she wasn't "ladylike".He supposedly told her "You know,you really should start wearing dresses and stop swearing in interviews".Prince then sent his limo driver away,leaving Sinead with no way to get back to the airport.But Sinead thinks she knows the real reason for his funky attitude.

"His problem was that I did a song of his ("Nothing Compares 2 U") without him being involved.He's jealous.And he did say to me that he wished I'd never done his song.I think that,frankly,that song saved his fucking ass.He was in serious financial trouble until that song happened".

Admitting, she did a very nice cover. In fact, it
is one of the few Prince covers where the cover
sounds better than the original.

I don't know, a studioversion of NCTY with Prince
and perhaps Rosie might have been cool but I don't
particularly wet myself over the Live Hits version.

Sinead did a fucking great job with that song and he
musta freaked cause he could not control her. She was
beyond his grasp and yet she took his song all across
the world so people linked the two together and that
must have frightened him.

I do wonder tho how telling a woman to dress more like
a lady and stop cussing would be considered:

"constantly threatened to beat the shit out of me"

That seems a little off. I don't think Prince would
do stuff like that. And if he did she should've just
tore him that extra poopshoot like Snaps said.
