Anyway, yeah, I sorta see what you're saying. But at leats"purple rain" has great music to save it it, unlike "glliter". IMHO.

8 Mile= poor man's Purple Rain

Both movies took from Purple Rain and ran with it.
Glitter was watchable, but 8 Mile was a piece of shit.
