Was P at his best under the influence? He's always under some kind of influence or other, but I think that he's limited the range of his influences, and I may cop some shit 4 this, but I think the mix of the funk, soul, r&b influences with others like the Beatles, the Stones, Joni plus of course Jimi, brought out the most interesting results.
Which influences do u think produced the best output? "We've never been able to pull off a funk number"

Be careful when choosing The Beatles, U could create the ultra-boring, retro monster that calls itself Oasis!

I do like their first two albums tho'. They've done nothing new since. The "New Beatles" my ass. At least the Beatles went places.

Or a gr8 LP like ATWIAD, Parade or SOTT? (U know, R Kelly prob'ly quotes Curtis and Stevie as influences 2. Being influenced by genius doesn't help ya if u got no talent, or igf ur name's Gallagher ) "We've never been able to pull off a funk number"
