COMMENTS: SHEILA E & SUSANA MELVOIN Ive been reading Hahn's book and I am kinda sad about certain claims. Ive never read DMSR and havent started reading Poplife, but from what ive heard most of these facts are in those books.
anyways...I never knew Sheila E was one of P's lovers (although when ive seen together live they are always flirting) I always thought of her as just an incredible percussionist that he met and wanted in his band. I was shocked to find out that she really loved him, and very much. What made me sad was that Sheila was only one of many girls he was screwing with at the time. I guess i feel bad for Sheila, she is such a nice lady. I dont think she is with anyone (romantically) right now. Im sure she must be happy though. she certainly keeps herself busy. Do you think she still loves him? As for Susana M. She was the main girl in P's life at the time. Although it sucked for her too... having to share Prince with so many. According to the book, she tolorated all of P's affairs...that is until they broke up (they lasted though). Did susana marry? I wonder if and when she did, if Prince was hurt. I havent finished the book, but I dont like it too much right now. Many negative comments. If this thread doesnt belong here sorry. WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THIS? any comments on these affairs? Hey lover..ive got a sugarcane...that I wanna lose in you...baby can you stand the pain

Susannah is married to another saaangin', guitar-slangin' artist -- Doyle Bramhall II.
I think people sometimes confuse the one-sided way they interact with celebrities with the complex, interpersonal dynamics of real relationships. If Prince is your favorite celebrity/music artist/personality/whatever, it might be hard to grasp the idea that he might not remain the center of an ex's universe. Romantic relationships are usually far too complex to boil down to pithy dismissals. I'd submit that some residual love is pretty normal at the end of most romantic relationships. The relationships change, but the love probably doesn't die altogether.

Im not saying that he might remain the center of an ex's universe. What im asking is if Sheila, for example, is still in love with him or with their affair... thats all. i didnt want to make it seem like Sheila or Susana were still hung up on him. I was just sad that he was such a dog with them. i was just being curious...
