Friday night, I attended 100% NYC, a concert in New York City's Battery Park that had performances by Sean Paul, Jewel, The Roots, Robbie Williams & Nora Jones, and appearances by Dennis Leary, Jimmy Fallon, Whoopi Goldberg & Robert DeNiro. During a break in the sets, the hosts - Rachel Perry(I think that was her name) from VH-1 & Sway, an Mtv guy, were doing their back & forth of what passed for witty banter, & Sway asked the crowd if we had seen Purple Rain & went yammering on about how the crowd's reception of him reminded him of the end of Purple Rain when Prince wasn't sure if the people liked him after he played the song & blah blah blah. Anyway, it airs on both VH-1 & Mtv on Saturday, May 17th at 8:00 pm Eastern Time...check it out if you can. It was a great show!
