In terms of "brilliance", I think you could start at the beginning!!! smile

But, for me...a good example would be "Eye Know" (complexity of arrangement)...well, that and "Kiss" (simplicity)...or maybe..."Soft & Wet" (sexual content)...hell even...

I could go on all day!!! Just pick one from his extensive catalogue, and you'll be right on!!

Uh...
"Come" (go ahead, say something smart)
"Adore"
"Let's Work"
"The Everlasting Now"
"Anotherloverholeinyohead"

There are too many to name. Brilliance can be defined in a variety of ways, and Prince has music to fit them all. Shiny.

When U Were Mine--It's simple brilliance, plus how great of an overall song it is.

All The Critics Love U In NY--Great, eclectic ideas, overall cascade of wonderment.

Darling Nikki, Computer Blue, The Beautiful Onee--Just for sheer audacious beauty and brilliance. The three best songs anyone would want to hear.

Take Me With You--A Great Song, but with that jaw dropping string section part. Greatest use of classical music in pop ever!

Condition Of The Heart--Might irritate a non-fan, because of how weird the song is. But this brilliant and lovely song is in a league all it's own. One of the greatest single chorus's I have ever heard.

Christopher Tracy's Parade, for that amazing use of the cascading steel drums. What a wonderful idea.

Most of SOTT, the album. Every song on the damned thing is eclectic, artistic, highly complex and drop dead wonderful. Take your pick.

Dance On--Underrated song. Sounds like Public Enemy samples on speed. Great chorus and just odd, weird sound colages, plus funky as all duck. lol

Irrisistable Bitch--Odd song, really odd, but oh so good. Amazing originality.

Girl, long version. Another weird one. Amazing, how such a simple synth line could seem so complex. You hum in to yourself like in an insane asylum. amazing.

Another Lonely Christmas--Sheer song writing joy. Great, gritty singing from P

There's Other's Here With U--May be P's most original song ever. Strange, off the wall melody, if you could call it that. P had to be doing drugs at the time. Creepy vibe as well. Who says P just rips off JB and Parliament?

Wonderful Ass--Wow, how complex is this song? this is like Classical music, but in pop form. Ground breaking.

Uh Huh--Great song. Too bad he wasted it on a pepsi free commercial.

Dolphin--Simple, but original and great rock song.

The entire Truth Album! worship Especially, Dionne with it's odd song structures.
All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

The Ladder is far from a great song. The lyrics make no sense, and the music is dreary spiritual stuff.
