I wouldn't lose any sleep if I had to give up any of the following forever:

D&P
Emancipation
Crystal Ball (I get to keep the Truth though)
NPS
Rave
ONA (though I'd miss U're Gonna See Me)
No Candy 4 Me

Rave cause they made such a big stink about how great it was and it wasn't. sad

The tried to push Clive out after that album even though Santana was such a success. Big losses $$$

I NEVER liked Crystal Ball.booty!

I force myself to listen to it cuz it's one of the only CD's I can always find in my collection. (with no scratches)...

Same hear. I really can't listen to it. I think that gets my vote, altough I wouldn't put it in the same catogery as his regular studio albums. but who's counting?

ever listened to "Into the light I will"?

Maybe you guys ain't ready for this one. lol

Those are my two favorite tracks off "Chaos and Disorder", I love them! The best two songs off the CD, in my opinion.

I love those too. Something about this album I like. The albums that just don't do anything for me are Batman-- it lacks feeling-- and D&P-- high cringe factor.

NPS and Rave. Emancipation has some gr8 songs, and some of the worst.

I guess I'm alone on this one:

I didn't like diamonds and pearls.

I guess it was a period in his career when his creativity wasn't really that high. Even his tour was a rip-off of all the previous ones. He was getting rid of his drumcomputers (making music alone) and tried to get back to a 'band'-concept again. But I can see now it was an essential step in his career. Every great musician had a period like that!

Some of the others like 'the vault' were not that great either. But I don't blame him! He was getting rid of Warner Bros. so he kept the better songs for himself obviously!

Without a doubt, the Batman soundtrack gets my vote. I don't even consider this a real Prince album and haven't listened to it in years. It was just a total joke, coming after the masterpiece of Lovesexy.

'kamasutra'
'batman'
'new power soul' and
'graffiti bridge'

are his weakest records...

I really don't listen to Batman that much. It sounds very dated. Most of his music you cant put a year with the sound because he has always been ahead of most music but Batman has the early 90's sound. I love Scandelous,Partyman and The Future but don't really get into the others that much. Rave has a great mix of sounds but I don't like the trax with the guest artists. If I didn't know Gwen and Cheryl Crow were on the trax, I would have never of guessed. I will always buy his work regardless if it appealed to me because there is always some hidden genius to it all that makes it worth a listen.

Your name is "Disdain4theUnfunky." You hate the Black Album. Is there some kind of rift in the space-time continuum here? Or do you really hold that much disdain for yourself?

Er, yeah - I hold a lot of disdain for myself.

Personally to me, every prince album has its weaker moments, so to call a certain cd his ' worst ' would be impossible. But i have to admit there is a lot of weak moments on the Graffiti Bridge soundtrack, but only because he drafted in collaborators, it would have been perfect if he released a 10 track cd of all his own songs and then another cd of the other shit in the movie.
