I personally thought the rainbow children was a great cd but some gave it a lukewarm response.What i want to know from fans is what there worst prince album is and if they hate it as much as TRC?.I wasnt too sure about Emancipation myself.

WTF??? I never thought I would see that listed here!! There's only 1 weak track on it really and that's Cherry Cherry, and even that ain't too bad a song. Its an interesting way of telling a story, just don't care much for the actual music.

For me, his worst Prince album was Rave, his worst related-release record was NPS.

The Black Album is the worst tho.

Personally, I dig Chaos & Disorder.

Rave has a few good songs (Tangerine, TGRES, ILUBITTUA and others), same goes for New Power Sole (The One, Come On...), Exodus (The Good Life, Return of the Bump Squad...), Batman (Scandalous, Vicky Waiting, Partyman...), For You (Soft & Wet, JALAWT) and Grafitti Bridge (Joy in Repetition, Thieves in the Temple, Melody Cool).

And although I'm among the haters of TRC, The Last December is truly beautiful and The Everlasting Now is unmistakingly funky. And at least the overall vibe is... musically interesting.

But The Black Album! That one is a true CONtractual obligation! Cindy C, come on! To me, that is his one really, really bad album.

I NEVER liked Crystal Ball.

I force myself to listen to it cuz it's one of the only CD's I can always find in my collection. (with no scratches)...

I do like something about all of em but I have my preferences. Im not a big fan of Dirty Mind or One Night Alone despite there being some great tracks on there. I'd just rather listen to For You or SOTT

I really don't understand how an adventurous genius like Prince decided to celebrate his freedom with a 3-cd album filled with weak, overromantic, crappy produced puke!

I hate this album, anyone who wants to have it can come over to my place and take it for free...

anything from the last 10 years is subpar. NPS, ONA, TRC, THE VAULT (why isn't that one listed!), Rave in2, Rave on2, C&D, and even half of Emancipation (sorry folks, it would have been a great single album or good double, but not a triple disk.

I think this is because Prince doesn't have anything to inspire him anymore. Emancipation was inspired by Mayte and their kid. That is why there were some good tracks on it. TRC was inspired by his new found faith. That is why parts of it are very good (but doesn't explain the rest!!!) etc. What Prince needs is to get his ass out of the recording studio, and travel and live life. Tell us what a man in his 40s is going thru. Don't tell me "18 and over, I want's to bone ya". That isn't going to give me any insight. Look at Bruce. He wrote "The Rising" partially inspired by 9/11. Did him pretty good! Until Prince gets his head out of his ass, we'll be stuck with stuff that would have been outtakes or filler on a side project being released as "new Prince".
