To this day, after repeated listening which prince album leaves you genuinly awestruck? its gots ta be THE GOLD EXPERIENCE ,just how amazing is this cd?every time i hear it my mind gets bombarded with an aural cacophony of kaleidoscopic colours!!!this could have been his finest moment...This comeback should have shifted 10 million if WB had got their ass in gear.this period of his life musically was fuckin awesome. The casual listerner was robbed when this was left to fend for itself in the glut of shit which is known as popular music
the defining moment?the insane maniacal scream in NOW ,to me it so defines prince...it just is as he is! other albums? PARADE and THE TRUTH..4 me those 3 never, never cease to amaze me..(gotta be honest im not filled with awe with sign these days)

Listening to Parade always leaves me feeling about a dozen different shades of "whatever possessed him to...???" - so many textures and quirks and odd little ideas incorporated into that album, I love it.

AT THIS MOMENT for me it's GB. Songs like Elephants and Flowers and Joy in Repitition are gems. Some of the non-Prince tracks are filler but I'm STILL listening to this cd at least twice a week.
Knowing the demo's and outtakes to this cd add (more than) a little... Strangely enough, when I first heard it the day it was released I had the feeling that Prince had definately lost 'it' (gb after batman). It may sound strange but I don't care for his pre GB material that much anymore. Does anyone else have this, or is this Blasphemy? Eelco

Parade. That album is close to perfect. Not one weak track. I consider "Do You Lie?" and "I Wonder U" minor maybe, but not weak. A truly amazing album. The Normal Whores Club

I think it's kind of amazing how Prince changes keys at the end of "Play In The Sunshine" and the complex syncopation he's playing on the drums. Also, I think it's kinda cool how the song is supposed to be uplifting and Susannah sounds horny as hell when she sings "We're not afraid too...We are going to."

LoveseXy - its deep, and rich in dynamic production.
Just a shame it's now in so desperate a need of a sonic overhaul! I SO wish It would get re-mastered...
