VelvetSplash

I listen to the Paisley Park artists more than Prince, and I put many of their albums above many Prince's own releases.

My favourite is probably Sheila E's Romance 1600, followed by Madhouse, the other Sheila CDs, Jill Jones and The Family.

Vanity 6 is also a flawless classic, and has been quite influential on the synth-pop and electroclash scenes.

Hell, how could I forget the first Mavis Staple album and The Family!

And VelvetSplash, you're right about Vanity 6: Make Up is like the perfect electroclash track!

Jill Jones and Mavis' first album for me.

I know The Time IS basically 75% Prince with Mr Day on vocals, but i see them as a seperate entity for some reason.confuse

The Family was awesome, ONLY on the 4 or 5 tunes that actually DID something... Susannah's Pajamas, YES, Mutiny, High Fashion, River Run Dry, and yes, Nothing Compares 2 U.

That leaves what, Screams of Yawning and uhh, yeah, I think that's it. I don't remember.

Wasn't it basically the Time/Madhouse doing the music? (well, Madhouse was Prince, so, sure...)

I ALWAYS come back with the Family was the best, but, since the Family is really the Time with a St Paul in front instead of on the keys, I'm going to go with,

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THA TIME!

ANYBODY that can come on stage and warm up the crowd with the phrase "hold on hold on, why y'all beatin on shit, what's that mean?" JUST RULES.
