The problem I have with so many of these lists is that almost everyone is listing songs we already have. Personally, I'd like to hear a few outtakes that we've already got, but throw in some stuff that we've only heard rumours of existing. Here's my breakdown.
Disc one: (unreleased) No Changes My Love Belongs 2 U Moral Majority Machine Junk Music (entire session) Good Dick and a Job Evolsidog Emotional Pump Cosmic Day Rebirth of the Flesh Wally Roadhouse Garden Disc two: (recovered covers) Nothing Compares 2U 101 Time Waits 4 No One Sugar Walls Sister Fate Love Bizarre Release It House In Order Jungle Love Cool Manic Monday Disc 3: (stuff I've never heard of) This would be jams, rehearsals, etc. of stuff we've never heard or has ever been covered, or bootlegged. It would be better if he'd release outtake albums with chronological tracklists... For example an outtake disc with only songs from pre The Revolution period or SOTT/Lovesexy band period or NPG '95 period... Or just outtakes chronologically that have no input by any other members just Prince alone... And he shouldn't mess with them like he did with "Crucial"... But this all will never happen... And we'll probably just get another shitty "Crystal Ball" set with edited crap like a new version of "Moonbeam Levels" or a fucked up New World Translation version of for example amazing songs like "Go" or "Cosmic Day" or, dare I say it, the holy "American Jam"... The Rebels at their best... Fuck it, this shit is depressing me... This is a Utopian dream which will never be a reality. You can wish upon a star all you want, but I don't see this happening no time soon. I wish Prince would prove me wrong though. Neversin. | |
