OK, was the '98 European Tour still the Jam of the Year or had we crossed into New Power Soul Tour territory?

Wembley Arena and Brixton Academy.

nod Brixton headbang

I wish I could remember more about this concert. I just remember having a really good time and being right up close to the stage.

I remember the thumping bass work in Lets Work.

Do you remember the fan breaking on the last number?.Prince called out the roady and continued on the piano.tore the damn roof off. lol

Another highlight was when he came out when Chaka Khan was singing 'I feel for you'."who wrote this?" then he duetted with her. lol

great night!

Boston. It was the only Prince concert I've ever been to. I think it was the second leg of the tour, which I've heard was more stripped-down and suckier than the first.

I had fun, though. I remember him doing a bit about "What's the matter, y'all got a new man on me?" He jumped up on the piano, stuck his ass out and said, "Does yo man have an ass like mine???"

Me too! was my first P show eva! the fleet center was brand new! smile I was 6th or 7th row right! smile
"not a fan" falloff yeah...ok

I don't remember the fan breaking. I remember him coming out to duet with Chaka. He did the same thing at Wembley Arena a few days earlier.

Erm, what else. Damn I've got a bad memory, and I didn't even have any chemicals inside of me that night.

Did he do that extended Days of Wild jam for the opening?

September 1997...Dayton,OH
Novemeber 1997...Cincinnati,OH

Almost 10 years between tours it was way too long...my seats in Dayton were in the nosebleeds...my seats in Cincy I thought were going to suck too til I got there and found out I was on the side of the stage where he dances and was about 10ft away...I was screaming like a horny teenager even thought I had laryngitis...LOL!!

-Roseland Ballroom NYC (very close to the stage, small venue, vey cool-could swear he played "The Love We Make", which I think is a real good song- but track listings for this show say otherwise)
-Jones Beach, NY (his entrance on the speed boat was SO COOL!!- Will never forget it- jumped off the boat, ran up on stage on top of the piano and proceeded to kick ass!!)
-Oakland Arena (last show of the tour- Larry was so psyched to be jamming with the little guy in front of his hometown-almost 3 hours of music. Then the aftershow in SF!! Holy *@!*@!!! Almost another 3 hours of awesome jamming- and not so many people showed up?!?!? The sun was coming up by the time all was said and done. I was on such a natural high afterwards- couldn't sleep, just kept spinning a bunch of Prince jams.) I definitely feel blessed for seeing 3 awesome gigs on this tour.
