GN / Get Up Stand Up

Love this song, and only discovered McCartney's Let 'Em In much later (also a great song, and one of the few Prince / Beatles connections). This song was removed from the 2nd run of the NPG GN album because of its use of Let 'Em In, though.

GN itself borrows heavily from Bob Marley's Get Up Stand Up (both musically and with the lines "Get up, stand up / Stand up for your rights") - was the Guess Who's Knockin'/Let 'Em In issue a clearance issue? I thought it was similar to when Prince realized Cat's rap in Cindy C (and later Positivity) was lifted from Music Is The Key, and took it out simply because it wasn't original.

Why then would he be fine with using Marley so liberally??

(Just heard Get Up Stand Up on Radio 1's Mark and Lard on the web, which had me think of this...)

hammer Guess Who's Editin' (borrowed from Let 'Em Edit)
