Stuff you HAD to have but never listen to Hey all,
I obsessively HAD to find the Undertaker vid. Then I found it and now I hardly think about it... Same thing happens to me often. Anyone recognize this? | |

Yeah, about all the singles, and most of the official vids.
I don't know, I like all that stuff but I never listen to it or watch it anymore. The "Undertaker" vid was boring even before I'd finished watching it the first time round. Although, I play the album boot regularly. I just had to have the "1999 New Master" eventhough I hate that song. I guess I figured it would be cool or something. I think that was the last time I went out and bought some Prince item that didn't have any real new music on it. I'm only interested in either completely new material or live stuff now and won't buy anymore singles or vids. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps | |

The Rainbow children.. !! I bought it when it came out.. I just HAD to have it!! heard some of it, thought some of the songs were cool, and then just put it away into my prince collection.. about 6-8months later I wanted to listen to it again and now I just dig it!!.. The same with "Symbol" & The Valut (old friends 4 sale).. its kind of hard not to listen to any of Prince's music.. | |

I've got a ton of stuff I've hardly listened to. There's too much Prince stuff to give it all a fair go..
I realised I don't listen to a lot of tapes, so if anybody offers me a new live recording then I turn them down. I know I probably won't listen to it more than once. Life it ain't real funky unless you got that orgPop. | |

Pretty much everything since the late 1980s. I still get interested, but it has never really lived up to the hype. This is American excess at its worst. You obviously did not have to have it and did not need it. Real Prince collectors will have some value on everything that is unque from Prince. I have every item that is listed on tis thread and I play them all. True hardcore fans with a mature collector's mentality realize the various states of value to many of the real Prince collectibles. | |

true...I didn't need any of the things I listed, I mostly don't listen to them 'cause I don't like them, , I did give 'emacipation" another listen the other day, though, still not that crazy about it
