Have you ever been lucky enough to catch an item that Prince threw out to the crowd? tamborine,article of clothing,etc. At any concert have you ever caught anything he or a member of his band threw out at the audience? -------------------------------------------------

me, i haven't been so lucky...but i knew a grrl who went 2 go see p durin the triple threat tour...vanity 6 wuz onstage, and she told me about how they were tossin bananas into the crowd or sumfin and she caught one.
she told me she still has it...it's gotta be kinna gross by now.  | |

Nope. But I knew a guy in college who's experience seariously threatened our friendship.
Cincinnati, Ohio -- November 1984. Tickets go on sale for the Purple Rain tour. Me and my girl get in line at 2:00 am the day of the sale and freeze our fannies off in the cold wind whipping off the river. After almost getting crushed by the crowd (At the old Riverfront Stadium, no less!), we get tickets in peanut heaven. My guy friend laughs at us. He refused to join in the hysteria and had not purchased a ticket to the concert. As the night of the show approaches in January, my friend decides at the last minute that he does want to go, but tickets had sold out in an hour or less. Nevertheless, he grabs a cab down to the stadium, smiles pleasantly at the ticket lady and asks for a single ticket. She obliges and he is escorted to his seat: 3RD ROW CENTER!!! He caught some stuff that Sheila threw, a pair of Prince's sunglasses and a tombourine. He didn't want them, so he GAVE THEM TO SOME CHICK STANDING NEXT TO HIM THAT HE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW!!! I was hit in the head by a 12 inch Carmen Electra album thrown by Prince at the Glam Slam. I guess that's what I get for not paying attention  I should have sued his ass as it left a pretty good gash. | |

I have been lucky enough to throw an item at Prince!
...and all the NPGMC members who were at the 2nd Rotterdam show did the same! We all had white balloons with "Thank U Prince" (Cheesy? ) and we all threw them on the stage at one moment...
You can actually see it in a picture in the 'backstage room' at the NPGMC site. And you can hear Prince say 'Is this for me?' on the bootleg of that show...bootleg  illegal...
He didn't seem to happy about it, but it made a great picture ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

i caught the rose that wendy threw out during the purple rain tour right b4 the song little red corvette. a girl i was dating took it from me instantly. we sat in the front row, i worked at a ticket outlet back then and got the seats.u know about 8yrs later she still had that old ugly rose in her bible.wrapped in plastic stickman | |
