Hypothetically speaking, what do you think would happen if these two were to join the current band? Wendy and Lisa.

No Offence. but why bother with such a question...? i could start a thread saying 'hypothetically speaking what if prince stated making songs backwards...? but it's pointless.

I adore Wendy & Lisa, and I think a one-time hookup would be phenomenal.
Their current musical vibe is pretty much intricate orchestration and mixing samples with ambient instrumental layerings. It's pretty cool -- and would be REALLY interesting to hear with Prince's input -- but I think Prince's overall tone is too organic to fit consistently with theirs now. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

Hmm...well that's hard, 'cause musically I don't know where Wendy & Lisa are right now, since they haven't released an album since 1998.

I think they're in a different place to Prince right now - and whether it comes from them, or someone else, that's exactly what he needs.

I think the magic of the moment had an equal part in the formula,
and there is really no saying that their presence will trigger that again. I myself are not that jumpy to welcome a new collaboration between the three, it actually may degrade that old magic.

I dunno, if they actually went through w/ it (i.e. they JOINED the band vs. just jamming) they would have found some degree of chemistry, no? That said, it would probably be awesome. I'm not creamin for it, but I am creamin for the W&L cheerleaders to stop creamin for a reunion already :X

Sorry I haven't been here in a day or two...anyway I just watched PR Live in Atlanta and Parade Live in Detroit on video and I wonder if they can keep up with his band that he has these days. They could back then but the pace of the music was a lot slower live than it is these days. John Blackwell's drumming ability alone shreds over Bobby Z. And you have to think why did he disband the Revolution. Was it because of contracts or was it just time to move on to other things. I know a lot of peeps on the org love Wendy and Lisa and I ain't hatin on them but a few years ago they may have had there chance to come back and play w/ P but they didn't and he's probably over the idea at this time. -------------------------------------------------

i would be very excited. i swear the only reason i would ever want to be a famous actor is just so i could introduce them as "Prince and the Revolution" before they played on whatever awards show they would reunite on... Power tends to corrupt; absolute power corrupts absolutely. - Lord Acton
