Actually, Venus De Milo is a bit like Kenny G, but Alexa De Paris is the bomb.

I believe Venus de Milo is a work of art, a famous statue or painting. Maybe he felt his instrumental was an equivalent to that work of art.
BTW is anyone else diggin' those newer instrumentals. I'm speaking of "Tokyo" & "Osaka" in particular.

Prince got the title for "Venus De Milo" from a Miles Davis album.Miles also has a song called "Venus De Milo". As to "Alexa De Paris,sence "Under The Cherry Moon" was shot on the French Rivera he wanted to go with the whole french thing.

And the club itself where Christopher works as pianist is called "Venus de Milo", too. A composition of the same title exists from Miles Davis, but the two songs musically do have nothing in common.
"Alexa de Paris" is the trademark of a french designer from the 30's or 40's of the 20th century. He was famous back in the days.
