Prince’s torch songs. Help make a complete list. So for some reason I got thinking that many of P’s most interesting and amazing songs are about yearning for lost love. Thought it would be interesting to make a list. Please copy and add so we end up with a complete list. I’m using parentheses for some that partially fit.

(I purposely didn’t include “this Could Be Us” coz all the other songs are bangers and I didn’t want to lower the standard of the list - my claim was that these are some of his best songs and that one kinda kills it) |

Heard 'Gett Off' yesterday on the radio while in my car. What a damn good and strong dance song that is. Still fresh to this day. They played new Madonaa single right after it, and the ne Rolling Stones track right before it( not a bad song either). But Prince's stood out. My coleague next to me asked me if this is a new Prince song, he never heard before (he's 31 years old), and thought it was bloody fresh and new. Just sayin'. - So add that track to your list as well, the explicit version.

I googled "what is a torch song", and from the description Solo and Dark were the first that came to mind.   FREE THE 29 MAY 1993 COME CONFIGURATION!
