. Blank & Jones are respectable compilers and IIRC had at least one contact at a major that helped them out (one of the reasons they stopped making compilations is because that person retired, another was that licensing music etc. became such a hassle and the sales numbers had declined so much it had become an expensive hobby instead of a job that paid enough). . (Their earliest compilations sufferend from brickwalling, but after getting too many complaints they improved a lot.)

Kinda odd that this single isn't available at Qobuz etc. Those places often have Prince singles that were released in CD quality only, so this would have fit right in.

…and I stumbled on something odd: on Spotify is A6’s “blue limousine” and mazerati’s “players ball.” . Huh.🤔 if you could just pass your history class, baby, life would be all right.

Here’s another Spotify oddity The Time’s Pandemonium has numbers in the titles of four tracks Jerk Out #3, Chocolate #2, Data Bank #3, My Summertime Thang #3 Does this mean we were once going to get the original Prince versions at one time? And in the case of Jerk Out, maybe the original Mazerati version too?
