PRINCE UK GARAGE — Future Garage Tribute Mix DJ Set

I'm not normally a fan of fan made mixes but this one is up there:

https://www.youtube.com/w...f4QABmEUp8

Pretty special, extensively deep and impressively put together.

I never had a problem with DJ mixes because, unlike fanmade songs mixes, they obviously can't be confused with the real deal.

A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

They are different but yes arguably more depth in the mix. Have a listen - it’s worth it smile

Some probably will hate it (as usual), but...

this is actually exactly what I’ve been longing for for a long time, and what I’ve often referred to.

The reinterpretation of Prince’s music by talented DJs working in a complete different contemporary way.

It’s a pretty good original approach of everything that Prince is.

For us fans who know all the songs—even bits of interviews and live talks—it’s like a puzzle, sampled and cast into a driving groove that doesn’t necessarily had to be Prince’s.

I think it’s really well done.

I’m going to put it on repeat for a while.

I think even Prince would have liked it.

Thanks so much for the link.

i will, but that mash up of "Electric Chair"/"Alphabet St."/"Forever In My Life" was jaw-dropping!
also, mind you, "AMU" was done using only original beats and loops.

Exactly. And not to start another debate, but this is AI / machine learning put to good use (vocal isolation).
